The Astros are adding a 60th anniversary patch to their uniforms this season. The patch, which honors the 60th anniversary of Major League Baseball arriving in Houston, will be on both the caps as well as the sleeve of the jerseys.

"We are so excited to celebrate 60 years of Astros baseball in 2022," Astros senior vice president of marketing and communications Anita Seghal said in a statement released by the team. "Our club has a rich history here in our home of Houston and we can’t wait to celebrate and highlight all those accomplishments with our fans throughout this historic milestone season."

The orange logo with blue trim features a giant 60 with the state of Texas inside the zero on 60. It also includes the Colt .45s logo from when the team started play in 1962 as well as the current Astros logo.

The 60th anniversary patch the Astros will wear on their caps and jerseys during the 2022 season.

The team says it will celebrate the 60th anniversary throughout the season, including what they're calling Flashback Friday games.

Caps and jerseys with the 60th anniversary patch are available at the team store and online.
