Police have been left baffled by the actions of a local resident in Ryde after they placed a note on a Police vehicle claiming it didn’t have an MOT.

The incident occurred outside Ryde Police Station yesterday evening (Thursday) at around 19:20.

CCTV footage has captured the individual – sporting a beanie hat and sliders – attaching the note to the windscreen of the Mobile Police Office van, which was parked directly outside the station.

“This vechile [sic] has no MOT! 😡 Sort it out.”

A quick check reveals that – unsurprisingly – the van does in fact have an MOT and is also taxed and insured.

The Mobile Police Office has spent several days at the scene of an attempted murder in Binstead. It was parked outside Ryde Police Station for a short while yesterday before returning to Shanklin Police Station last night.

What are you talking about

You sure that’s a woman?

One of the remade type, perchance

That’s Compo ! Great series

Hmm, wearing sliders and a beanie hat. It could have been worse, all it needed was to be wearing sports socks with them…..a real Crime against fashion.

Maybe they did sort it out before going to the press????

If I were to do this to all the cars in Ryde with no MOT I would run out of paper. A copper on foot could fill their quota for a year in one day. Not to mention all the cars with bold tyres and no TAX. Takes just a minute to check online with a phone.

My tyres are so bold they’d even take on the Black Knight.

Comment of the year Steve! Literally spat out my coffee reading that!

Police vehicles do not need an MoT they are serviced regularly to MoT standard therefore do not have to have the yearly MoT.
