Winter is here, and regardless of how much we try to hold onto warmer weather, the truth is that it is getting dark at 4 p.m. and seasonal depression is taking its toll. But, Acne Studios is here to make the season easier by keeping you warm and brightening your day with its colorful scarves – now available with personalization.
Born in Sweden, Acne Studios knows a thing or two about battling the cold, and its signature scarf style "Vernon" has become synonymous with the label's accessories offerings. For Fall/Winter 2021, it arrives in six different colors including black, emerald green, light grey melange, red, aubergine purple, and rust, and can be customized with symbols, letters, and numbers in pink, light blue, beige, yellow or black embroidery.
The symbols available represent love, positivity, and inclusivity, emphasizing Acne Studios' belief in equality and diversity. Whether you're looking for a peace sign or a rainbow, you can get it embroidered on your scarf.
To launch the scarf collection, the label has teamed up with photographer Ronan Mckenzie for a series of portraits, profiling creatives including students, artists, and musicians – all representing London. Last year, she launched a hybrid gallery and events space in North London, using it as a place to build community. HOME is one of the few Black-owned, artist-led spaces in London, which is also Mckenzie's own home city.
The wearers have personalized their own Vernon scarf, and you can, too, both online and in-store at Acne Studios.
