The Little League World Series is an American tradition like no other.

Growing up in Pennsylvania, about an hour from where the finals are held, certainly makes this even more special to me, but there’s nothing quite as awesome as kids from around the world getting together to compete in America’s pastime.

You get to see the highs and lows each goes through. The celebration of wins, the agony of losses, but at the end of the day, you know just being there is beyond special for them all and one day, regardless of how it ends, they’ll see it.

But sometimes you get a moment that’s just so awesome you can hardly believe your eyes.

Like yesterday, when a kid from Wyoming stepped up to the batter’s box wearing ranching work gloves and immediately CRUSHED a ball clear out of the stadium.

Aydin Jeffress is from Gillett, Wyoming and clearly ain’t afraid to mix it up and put in some hard work, I mean how comfortable do you need to be in work gloves to step up to the plate in one of the biggest moments of your life, let alone take a ball for a 300-foot ride? Come on with it.

The homer put his team up 4-2 in the third, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to hold it and wound up losing 7-4, eliminating them from further contention.

Regardless, this kid is going to have one heck of a story to tell for the rest of his life.
